Professor Wood has authored or co-authored over 235 scientific papers in journals, books (3 books, 20 invited chapters), technical proceedings on the topics of forest health and the full range of impacts of insects and diseases on trees and wood products. His most significant papers have come in the field of chemical communication of forest insects in which he is a pioneer. Among his publications are nine papers in the prestigious journals Science, Nature, and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences USA.
